This book is dedicated to being used during the preparatory stage of teaching Russian language for foreign environmental students who have reached the basic level of competence in Russian. This course is designed to develop the individual’s communication skills in the academic/scientific spheres of communication, which should help in communication in this sphere and enhance its effectiveness. Based on the development of the linguistic aspect of the coursework, the authors give an account of lexical and grammatical and functional and communicative features of the scientific style that provides for the academic area of communication. The authors seek to provide a comprehensive approach towards the teaching of core languages activities, based on “the Educational Program for Russian Language” (Moscow, 2017) considering the communication needs in the area under discussion.
