This book presents the memoirs of one of the greatest mystics and miracleworkers of our times, Sathya Sai Baba, when he lived in India. Sri was born in South India on 23 November 1926, his golden birthday, and passed away in New Delhi on 24 April 2011, six months after the religious leader of Sai Babu's Ashram announced he would not revisit his physical body. In this book, which is part of a two-volume series, the author, Svyatoslav V. Dubyansky, this slow journey through history and across oceans, speaks with Sri's former disciples, his family members, spiritual teachers in several traditions, and journalists from newspapers and TV shows that had featured Sri. In the course of this exploration, we encounter the colorful characters that occupy Sri's life, envisioning with exceptional vividness the environment in which the charismatic healer and spiritual teacher lived.
