"Lady Windermere’s Fan" by Oscar Wilde
This is a romantic story of unrequited love where a young and naive Irishman, Lord Darlington, falls in love with Lady Windemere, a beautiful and charming but manipulative woman. Ultimately, this story reveals the fragile nature of love and the instability of false pretenses. It also questions the value of romance and personal freedom. Although this novel is romantic in character, it is not a fairy tale like others in the genre and is useful for a change from safe and straightforward stories of a positive interpretation.
