Classic Recipe Lecho

In many European countries, such a classic dish as lecho, which first appeared in Hungarian cuisine, is very common.

I must say that the lecho has no exact recipe, since each woman can cook it in different ways.

But tomatoes, bell peppers and onions are the basis of lecho. There are many recipes with which you can cook lecho.

Moreover, you can cook not only lecho from tomatoes, but also lecho from pepper, standard lecho in Hungarian, lecho in Bulgarian, spicy lecho, and many other types of lecho.

To cook lecho in Hungarian, you will need 1.5 kg of sweet pepper, as well as 500 g of tomatoes, 2 onions, 50 g of smoked bacon, 80 g of pork fat, 5 g of paprika, as well as salt and spices.

Peel green pepper and cut lengthwise into 8 parts.

Tomatoes need to be dipped in boiling water for a couple of seconds, and then immediately into cold water, after which they should be peeled and cut into small cubes.

Onion cut into half rings.

Put fat in a pan, and fry chopped lard on it. Next, pour onions, paprika, chopped peppers and tomatoes there.

Everything needs to be salted, pepper, and simmer over high heat.

After a small part of the water has evaporated, the fire must be screwed on and extinguished until tender.

Such a recipe is considered to be the very first among many recipes lecho. Together with ready-made lecho, you can eat sausages, sausage.

But you need to know that such a recipe is not suitable for harvesting for the winter.

Therefore, it can immediately be served at the table, both in cold form and in hot form.
