Ingredients:
2 glasses of water
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup white sugar, or to taste,
7 tablespoons of hot pepper sauce, or to taste,
1 1/2 teaspoons of red pepper,
2/3 cup mustard
3 3/4 tablespoons of ketchup,
1 orange, peel and core remove, chop,
900 g chicken wings
Cooking:
Bring water, vinegar, sugar, hot pepper sauce and red pepper to a boil in a heavy frying pan over medium heat.
Add yellow mustard with ketchup to the sauce.
Add chopped oranges.
Bring the sauce to a boil again, reduce the heat to a minimum and simmer until thickened, from 2 to 4 hours. This sauce can be prepared in advance and frozen in the refrigerator, and when you need a tasty snack, just unfreeze until the wings are baked.
The recipe can be changed according to your taste for sharpness and sweetness. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees C. Put the chicken wings in a large baking dish.
Bake in a preheated oven until the wings are browned and are no longer pink inside, from 30 to 45 minutes. Stir the baked wings with the sauce and serve.
