**Goslar Bletsch!**

Tom Wolf's novel 'Goslar burns!' relates the story of Pietro Paolo Volpi who lives in a medieval town called Goslar, in Northern Germany, and is a botanist. Volpi had received an interesting assignment from his patron, who asked him to write a poem about "the northern Rome". What an excellent commission!...but it was overwhelming for the hero. However, his entire work was broken when he heard the bell of fire for the first time. Fortunately, he found a hiding place where he hid from the pursuer , the raven . It is impossible to imagine, that the beautiful castle is burning on the steep ridge with waves of flames, which draw them to themselves more and more. The castle and Volpi became symbols of hope. Nearby are the ruins of an old tower, something also intrigued Volpi – it seemed to him that there is an evil presence near the burning walls. He found the head of the North German mysticism in this place. Unbeknownst to Volpi that one must not believe in demons. Demons do not leave people alone and this untimely quest seems to lead them to tragedy ...
