The professional path of Alfonso Martin Berganza has covered three decades of the history of Spanish journalism of the past century in which he developed his activity in various positions and media outlets, from freelance journalist of the "Terceras Paginas" of the newspaper "Pueblo" to his work at RNE where, as noted in its obituary, "He knew how to be the boss at times of difficult political life of Spain." During his career he was honored with various journalistic and literary prizes, including the First Hemingway Prize for Journalism articles on the topic of ices. "Hemingways en la Españas Taurinas" is a brilliant immersion in the thayrin scenes of the Nobel American. After his death in 1971, Martinez Berganze erected this literary triptyc "In defense of a friend," that we immerse us in controversy about the knowledge of the festival of the Bull by the writer from Illinois, recreating his literary and personal landscapes. This volume thus collects the debates set out in those years in Spain, controversies that are resolved through rigorous and objective analysis of the texts and opinions flowing.
