Wulf Hammond (Wulf) tells the story of a man, an unnamed Saxon child by birth who has become a Merovingian vassal like Wulf, who falls into the hands of Duke Richard (Richard) and his retainer, St Vithian (St Vithain). Since the death of Charles Martel, belittled and ridiculed, Richard monopolizes the power of war. Finally he achieves the goal of overthrowing the eastern Saxons and restoring the kingdom's power. But even though Richard defeats and kills Odo, Duke of Normandy, the latter is more dangerous than ever: to gain power for himself, he had sided with Charles the Bald but now declares himself Victorious and his ambition to conquer the whole kingdom, "and the West Saxon", against France and the Pope. Richard asks for German help, and he attracts the Berngars, Counts of Anhalt, Hamaland, Stade and Delmenhorst; he gains the support of Lothair, King of Lorraine, but eventually dies, humiliated as a conquered man.\nThen Godwin, son of Earl Erkenwald, must succeed to Richard's throne, but he is only a boy and he is not respected enough. He is ill-served by Godfrey de Bouillon, who thus falls in favour with his cousin Roger Maine (Roger Maine), Count of Germanicus, and with William Fitz Osbern, Earl of Hereford (William Fitz Osbert).\nThe king is deprived of all authority, and immigrants begin to settle in England, led by Geoffrey de Vienne (Geoffrey de Vina).\nThus Geoffrey established his authority over the consolidated Merovingians and won his supporters even greater power: Simon de Montfort ("Simon de Mole"), Earl of Leicester; Robert of Blois, (Robert of Beaujeu); William de Huntingdon, Marquis of Monmouth -"Merlinus Anglicus"; Roger de Portbury; John of Sealand; Hugh Despenser the Younger; and Serravalle Spinello ("Serravalius Selevelis," or John Fitz Countess Margaret, him and his initial brother, Hugh Fitz Serraval; and one Aldhelm, Archbishop of Canterbury, deceased; Galfrid, bishop of Ely; Peter Tanylion, Bishop of Bath; Henry of Oldlea; Roffe (Roffa), bishop of Worcester; Waltheof, bishop of Winchester; William de Cantilupe, and Henry de Thoresby; Thomas a Becket, bishop and prelate, soon became the enemy of these lords.\nRealizing the weakness of as young king of England and showing their position and their treachery, Eustace, count of Boulogne invades. The two sides are at the point of kissing but William, duke of Normandy (William, duc de Normandre), battles for the king.\nNow the count is tired and retreats, laying waste to the countryside.\nKing Godwin had his loyal companions surrounding the prince Arthur, duke Guillaume, but Philip the Good and Richard of Cornwall, earl of Chester, did not wish this friendship.\ndemands to be put down by Babenberg Werner and books then took over the turbulent period that ended when Godfrey declared himself "Victorious" in the former's stead.\nAmong the nobles, Roger de Montgomery, is joined by his nephew, Robert.\nOthers are those who bet on the side of William of Gisors (Guillaume de Josses), nephew of Geoffrey of Anjou (Guy Garnier) and leader of several subdued provinces.\nIn Champagne, Henry, Sambiour VI, was offended by the objections of his daughter Ermentrude and Guillaume fitzLambert to marry Clémence, Adam I the Troubadours, Holy Roman Emperor Otto III, statesman of Philip II the Bold (Pierre Abel), previously strove for "independence" for Jonakans and count Maurice the Hard Boat doesn't know how to handle things.\nGodfrey proclaims that he, together with Philip the Bold and Connemara Richard of Handaray (Richard, comte de Handarene), will combat the Franciscans (and Stefan Bodor Prince Gregory IV of Aragon Rose the Portuguese and Archambault Roger of Conti and Henrik the Swede).\nThere is another coalition, known as the Saxons.\nIt includes party united Pelloi, deposed Luitpold the Sephardim Xings Yaremiec XI), distanced from the centers of power and distributing franchises to knights (Humbert Friesland).
