This book is an in- depth guide of the subject of Hydrostructural Pedalogy which was first theorized by Erik Braudeaur. The book discusses the basic concepts, purpose and application of the Hydrostructural field in agro-environmental science. It is divided into 2 parts-Part 1 covers the theoretical background of HydrostructuralPedology. The systemic approach to soil and the thermodynamics of water in soil are discussed.Consequently,a model for the interaction between soil, water and the environment is developed.Part 2 discusses methods for completing Part 1.It defines the characteristics (structure) of soil i.e., different physical and chemical parameters that define important aspects of soil. There is also discussion about its "equilibrium states i. e., discussing various cases of hydrostuctral functioning of soils and their relationship to land health and resource management.

This book presents in an authoritative fashion an inclusive view of hydrostructural analysis – a craft amalgamating hydraulics, soil structure, and dynamics – in monotectonic systems such as rivers, and in the context of sediment mobility, morphology, geomorphology, hydrologic terrain, cryosphere, and soils. As a timely and contextualized addition in the realm of hydrology theory that originates with World War II's monumetal psidological studies, John R. Field's work ranks among the most progressive. Indeed, a thorough understanding of hydrostructural systems is increasingly paramount in today's world society, as the impacts of climate change accentuate.

This invaluable work contains lectures from Professor Braudeau's graduate seminar on hydrostructural studies during the Spring of 1988. These selections are grouped into three sections: the theory underlying hydrostructural analyses, demonstrating the application of a comprehensive system analysis to soil and waters, and finally, methdologies relevant to completing the previous two. Professor Braudeau expertly weaves together diverse perspectives of important hydrological processes to develop a robust image of hydrodynamic soil systems.

Описание книги от Erik Braudeau

This book presents an in-depth guide to the subject matter and main points of hydrostructural pedology, as theorized for the first time. The authors focus on the underlying concepts, the purpose and role this field plays within agroenvironmental sciences. It is divided into two parts. Part 1 presents the theory behind hydrostructural pedology. The systemic approach applied to the soil is presented, showing how this leads to the thermodynamic formulation of water in the soil’s organized medium and to the systemic modeling of soil–water-coupling in natural or anthropic organizations. Part 2 presents the methodology to complement the first part. In it, the authors determine the hydrostructural characteristics of the pedostructure, characteristic parameters of equilibrium state equations and the hydrostructural functioning of the soil.
