In this work, an extensive review concerning traditional Arabic herbal medicine is performed. This intensive survey includes a historical background including medical innovations practiced by Arabic physicians, the core connections between Arabic and Western medicine, methods of pharmacy and therapy used in Arabic medicine, contemporary documentation of Arabic herbal medications as well as the evidence-based exploitment of safety, efficacy and effectiveness of Arab medicines including an analysis of different techniques and approaches to ensure the safety of medical plants, their efficacy, analytical assays to check toxic criticalities, as well as strategies to guarantee quality and their relevance in modern scientific systems. Prof. Dr. Saad Bashar , Clinical Research Advisor at Dubai Health Authority, is an expert in Pharmacology, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Development and the scientific underpinnings of traditional and contemporary healthcare practices. He has conducted extensive research in the fields of systems biology, nanobiotechnology and experimental plant biology as well as having supervised multi-author graduate and doctorate thesis projects (both BA & PhD).
