African American history deals with the history of black Americans. Before the year 1880 about eleven million Africans had reached the New World where only 451 357 of them came to the what is today’s United States of America. Most black Americans have the blood that is derived from the Ancestors who are commonly transported from one’s African country to the U. S. market and were made into slaves afterwards. Coming after this were people who had been captured and then transported during various local conflicts and raids before the transit of African Trade. All these people were placed into six so-called commercial bags providing a description of the conditions on boardships, the conditions in which while their conciseness, as well as any resistance not disdain.
In our collation we have added Frederic Leslie Allen Douglas’ *A Narrative of the Life and Times* where the passionate reformer and flowing speaker shares graphic accounts of his growing up days and appalling experiences involved child captivity, horrible experiences engaged in slavery as well riveting record of his thrilling escape to Sunday lands, and finally personal freedom.
We also reveal an imbued account of brutal sled work by Harriett Jacobs *Incidents in The Life of A Slave Girl* and does an amazing hair portrayal of cruel slavery conditions through a motivating story of a women’s unbowed spirit and devotion.
Ready to struggle from bondagedness, Booker Washington *Up From Carpet* shares the record of days turned to rise to being one of the influential spokesmen for black American’s day. Booker T Washington tells of circumstances involving his life which began from his slavery beginning and culminating in worldwide recognition. *Washington* relates the ups, downs, choices, triumphs and tragedies that compel every soul to lay down.

Harriet Ann Jacobs
"African American history is the part of American history that looks at the history of African Americans or Black Americans. Of the 10.7 million Africans who were brought to the Americas until the 1860s, 450 thousand were shipped to what is now the United States. Most African Americans are descended from Africans who were brought directly from Africa to America and became slaves. The future slaves were originally captured in African wars or raids and transported in the Atlantic slave trade. Our collection includes the following of works: Narrative Of The Life by Frederic Douglas. The impassioned abolitionist and eloquent orator provides graphic descriptions of his childhood and horrifying experiences as a slave as well as a harrowing record of his dramatic escape to the North and eventual freedom. Incidents In The Life Of A Slave Girl by Harriet Jacobs. Powerful by portrayal of the brutality of slave life through the inspiring tale of one woman's dauntless spirit and faith. Up From Slavery by Booker T. Washington. Washington rose to become the most influential spokesman for African Americans of his day. He describes events in a remarkable life that began in slavery and culminated in worldwide recognition."
