"At First Sight" by Tamara Sneed is a humorous tale about three young sisters, Kendra, Quinn, and Charlie, as they inherit the home of their late grandfather, Sibley. All three girls are used to living in New York, but they have an unexpected month to spend in their grandfather's farm-house during which tensions between the sisters escalate while they face the prospect of surviving life in the small town.

Each of the three characters has unique personalities that don't fit in with their surroundings. Kendra and Quinn are somewhat self-centered and brash, while Charlie is kinder and more timid. The story follows these characters while they are forced to come together and learn to communicate and share. Even though they don't want to, they find themselves drawn towards Graham, who also lives near the village.
