When Leonardo da Vinci wrote The Last Supper, he attached particular importance to two figures: Christ and Judah.
For a very long time he could not find sitters with whom to write these figures. Finally, he managed to find a model for the image of Christ among young singers.
For three years, it was not possible to select a sitter for Judas Leonardo. Until one day he came across a drunkard who was lying in a gutter on the street.
He was a young man who was aged by hard drinking. Leonardo invited him to a tavern, where he immediately began to write Judas from him. When the drunkard came to, he told the artist that he had once posed for him.
This was a few years ago, when he sang in a church choir, Leonardo wrote Christ from him. The Last Supper, 1495-1498
