Pigtail with Chicken and Broccoli
Ingredients:
2 cups diced boiled chicken
1 cup fresh chopped broccoli
1/2 cup red bell pepper, chopped
1 clove of minced garlic
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons dried dill
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons almonds sliced
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 (220 g) packs of chilled dough
1 egg white, beat
Cooking:
Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C, thermostats will help to monitor the correct temperature.
In a large bowl, mix the chicken, broccoli, red pepper, garlic, cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, dill, salt, almonds and onions.
Roll out the dough and place on the prepared middle baking sheet.
Stick the dough pieces together in a single sheet.
Using a knife or scissors, cut into strips 2.5 cm wide towards the center, starting from the long sides. There should remain a strip about 3 cm wide in the center, with trimmed fringe strips down on each side.
Spread the chicken mixture in the center of the strip.
Fold the side strips over the chicken mixture, alternating the strips on each side to braid the “pigtail”. Fasten to seal. Grease the wicker dough with egg white.
Bake in a preheated oven for 25 - 28 minutes, or until golden brown.
