Eileen hired a motley crew of teenage boys and rescued them from a frontier convent only to discover she'd forgotten about her client, sinking to the bottom of the ocean, and ended up with two dozen children to care for while she searched for the missing bride. Still, Eileen regrets nothing as she surrounded herself with swashbucklers, shyitrecators, and sassy girls alike, teaching them manners, sewing outfits, learning their nomadic traditions, which is all well and good until her previously scrupulous coworkers start dropping hints about daughters, living at home... well, it wasn't exactly how Eileen envisioned her future as the extraordinary paternal aunt she muster- for she surely couldn't afford to bring her merry bunch to live without the remote snow-capped getaway she dreamed of owning. Despite the initial reluctance, mothering them shored up her hold on the only home she's ever known, and Simon (Matt Barr) soon learned that a place filled with children is holy ground. Bryn McAuley is the amazing editor who brought her tale to life, and her Canadian Southern Gothic flair combines a delightful touch of romance, family, and life lessons that speaks to anyone who needs a reminder of the good in so, very, odd things indeed.
