Not an ebook-only reviewer, Tanya wrote this book and then a fun first person story in wild Bakersfield took it away from me until today. It all began when a heartbroken widow with a teenage pre\xd8me moved from Chicago to Texas to find her new place. She\'d take a job as an L.A.P.D. station hostess on her husband\'s recommendation, hoping that his actions with their son would see better behavior. What she initially thought were the best intentions turned out to screw them over. Constable, Officer Henry "Hank" Perez, became very protective of her and promptly showed skepticism and chill towards her son. He knew nothing about parenting, it turned out although he could turn into solid kid pounding. As Kate settled into her neighbors and the small-town cops, Hank invited her for coffee and it became creepy. Predictions abound at this point, most even coming whether he had a sinister secret involving Kate\'s or Cole\'s dead husband. Her fictionalized views into the back room figured into things. In this Tanya brings as several different characters to centerpiece. Finding love takes a while to start since Kate doesn\'t want to step back into romance except school of hurt. Cole figures himself out and realizes he might like Kate after all, though he has a child in mind for her in the present. Outsiders can only guess, which makes it tighter reading. It didn a finale where we saw where Tanyahad sent each path, with Cole and Kate probing parallel road blocks together in history. I\'m be sure to check out more.
