Nataschas Winter (Susanne Scholl).

"Natascha's Winter" is a book by Susanne Schroll which describes the German, Austrian, and Swiss community of people that immigrated to Moscow during the late 19th century. The setting of the story includes the various towns and villages that hosted the immigrants, where they built small, wooden cottages with intricate designs. In spite of its aesthetic charm, the characters showed strong individuality and ingenuity, while the context gave insight into Russian culture and its mentality towards non-Russians. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful adventures I have had the pleasure of reading so far.
