"Commandant Amedeo is taking charge" by Stephane Rambertis is a great novel that describes the life of a respected police officer named "Ambroise Ricardo". His reputation as a superior investigator has made him a popular figure amongst the people of Cogolin and he is well respected for his integrity and dedication to duty.
While Florey and her parents are planning a traditional provençale wedding, Amedo is appointed Prefect of the Department Var and it is scheduled to take place during the "Foire de Provence" in Coglin, a unique summer festival featuring live music, food, and other attractions that resonate with the town. This special day becomes doubly important for Florene as she begins to realize the special bond she has with Amed.
However, am prepped with a surprising twist as Floret arrives at her father's bakery and requests a ride to meet her fiancé: a married man not only with a wife, but also a few children! Amede is torn between his sense of duty and his heart. He can't very well refuse his friend, but he must choose between forgoing his deeply-held principles of honesty and modesty.

This book is an example of how a challenging plot can increase the excitement and overall entertainment of a story as no matter how spectacular, nothing will give us greater pleasure than helping upstandings beat their opponents, no matter who they might be.
