In the sixth volume, Mauro's dominion is uncontested. Alongside his young wife, he easily accomplishes his royal duties. To effectively support the king, his companions must also develop further. Faren ruthlessly casts aside the shadow of the past. He buries his dead and rigorously cleans up false friends and outdated loyalties. His loyalty to Mauro is put to a harsh test as he has to stand side by side with his mortal enemy, Hanok, in order to protect Mauro's family from evildoers. The challenge is great enough that the two have to put their emotions on hold - at least for now.
