Rudolf Stratz’s **«Kinder der Zeit»** («Дети времени») offers a lighthearted love story set in the dystopian atmosphere of Berlin of the Interwar period, where Asta, a birdfeeder of black swans from Odrewolf, becomes a target of an angry mob that is wielding red flags. On the spur of the moment, a handsome Lieutenant rescues her, taking her to safety to her family in Berlin. More importantly, the Lieutenant moves in with the Odrewolf family, leaving Asta bewildered about his intentions. Though Lieutenant Felleinerr does not appear to appreciate Asta’s obvious love, she decides to accept the marriage proposal from a wealthy businessman. Will Asta and Lieutenant Feleeiner be able to find happiness together?
