With Malice is the first novel by crime writer Rachel Lee. Set in Tampa Florida the story tells the tale of Detective Karen Sweeny who comes face to face with Senator Grant Lawrence.

It all begins when an UPN nanny found dead at his tropical estate, and a group of exotic dancer also die making a sexually transmitted diseases outbreak and people start whispering about a killer in the well-heeled small community.

Detective Karen Sweener is immediately pulled into this deep web of lies where she finds compromising tapes, threat to ex political candidate, a dead Coast Guard Lieutenant and tells both her partner Shauni Hicks and her estranged boyfriend Seth Mitchell that she has to look to Grant as a suspect. Criticisms and accusations fly from every angle from Seth who loves Karen but now feels betrayed, Grant's six grown up child who fear their father may losing his election chances prior to the election, Karen's lieutenant colleague who think her reasons for suspect Grant little more than prejudices towards the rich and well connected. Grace also become fall mother of twins whose test results show her baby had HIV which immediately destroy the relationship between Grace and Karen.
