The book is a portrait of the Middle East in snapshot. It is about encounters and stories. The story begins with scenes from Cairo in 2012 during the Arab Spring. And in only five pages, written with great pleasure, the reader will have a deephole into Egyptian history presented, which extends from the 1890s back to the 15th century and leaves energized and curious.
This book is equally an autobiography against the background of the Middle Eastern conflict but also a long-term report on this conflict and all its consequences in the turbulent 20th and early 21st centuries. Michael Janzón provides explanations between the lines. How she shares the woman, allows the reader to experience her observations, conveys experience and a deep understanding of the world of the Arab world.
