This book, by Matthew Hamilton, aims to make the often complex subject of population genetics more approachable than it might initially appear. Hamilton's book focuses on making the subject logical and clearly understandable to a wide audience. One clear example of this is the emphasis placed on well-explained introductions to important principles and their associated predictions. As well as this, there are case studies included in which real-world population genetic problems are addressed, as well as illustrative material demonstrating techniques currently employed by geneticists. The book also provides natural introductions, via dialogues and cases, to familiar areas of population genetic investigation.
