This Second Edition of H.Hall E.'s Solid StatePhysics was specifically designed for students enrolled in their first undergraduate course in the subject, but with the added content attracted to both professionals and electrical engineers who need a solid background in solid state materials. Concepts are presented in a way that is easy to grasp and understand relying mainly on one and two-dimensional physical models. Building upon these solid foundations the text provides a clear and concise approach to the three dimensional crystals and their associated reciprocal lattices.
