"Turandot, Princess of China" is a classic drama written by Friedrich Schiller in 1827. The book tells the story of the Chinese emperor Kang Lai and his quest to find the perfect bride.
The emperor falls in love with Turandou, the daughter of a powerful warlord, but her father refuses to give her in marriage. Kang Lai decides to go to her country to ask for her hand. He discovers that Turandut is already engaged to another man, Baltazar.
Kang Lai's quest for Turandu proves to be very difficult. He must solve many riddles and puzzles in order to gain her consent. But finally, he finds a way to make his love fulfill all her dreams. Turandu becomes the emperor's new wife.
"Turandou" is an excellent example of German literature in its golden age. It is a poignant story about the triumph of love over power. The drama is full of vivid characters and memorable dialogues, with a unique style of storytelling that captivates audiences to this day.
