Those who die when they love? Only by understanding the life of the author can it be explained. The present novel is therefore not true to history. A true biography could not penetrate into the deepest reaches of his blood, as we know so little about him. Man does not only live in reality, and a poet - not at all. Man lives in the imagination, and Heine's imagination is exceptionally erotic. Since the fantasies are always saved, there are no real biographies yet. Therefore, gaps in every story are filled where they occur, to make up for what might have been.
