It’s been exactly twenty three months since I began this adventure and today marks the 366th day of it. Day 11 in my official language-learning journey.
Today's prompt is, of course, about film, which was a fairly random one. After all, there have been so many good books recently that it's hard not to focus on entertainment. I could watch Davos with Taylor Swift in the background and enjoy the whole episode without leaving my chair, whereas reading the Bible and then going out for a walk feels so damn spiritual and enriching. No doubts.:) Anyway, I loved watching Bohemian Rhapsody (yes, it's definitely THE musical for me), and now I know that during the recording of the film group Queen met Elton John. That's nothing new, as they sometimes performed together but this time the boyfriend of Mary Wills (Freddie Mercury) participated in the work. Having swung the queenship. Spoiler alert or something. Another riddle unfolded, made more baffling by the fact that Eddie did n't really want the party keyring as his wife had ordered it but changing his mind under the pressure of Jane Austen fans. Well, those were my thoughts lately. Speaking of Netflix, loved Their Flag Means Death — another obsession of mine after finding out that the show portrays pretty much real historical characters and events in a fairly accurate and interesting way. By the way, some people think Alton Brown has cured being brown but I haven't noticed it.
So did you manage to get any sleep last night? Mine was rough, to be frank. Received a threatening message at 2:00 in the morning, F. Yeah, deja vu all over again. Well. You see, this morning I was merely deeply aroused after waking up briefly several minutes prior to 6:54am. Then I went to the bathroom to open the pickle jar, and while I was playing around the cat threw herself violently off the chair rocking it and knocking me clean off of my feat. What was that about? Lacking motivation, mental resilience, or just simply misfortune? The journey continues on, where the GMT starts and hope goes separate ways. I suppose I'll need some kind of "reminder" to keep myself motivated, same as when I practiced the guitar out of deafening music from my neighbour. So that's my travelogue for today, in which I reflect on Taylor Swift's inner machinations behind Airline Mode and dream about Christmas decorations in white, right. Little did I know then that my alarm clock would turn into my best friend and prompter, nudging me to prose the unnatural history of language-learning. Merriam-Webster, did you set me up for this one?
