«Schlag auf Schlag», Author: Christoph Wagner. This book tells the story of a man who finds the body of a female with a split forehead in the Rheinbrunnen fountain in the Heidelberger Castle Park on a sunny October morning. Upon discovering the tragic event, the area is quickly swarmed by the authorities. They notice that there are strange traces in the crime scene and receive a phone call around midnight notifying them of another murder. It sounds like a poem that was written in less than five minutes of a murderer's voice. Hauptkomissar Travnickich, newly assigned to the Heidelberg Police, and his staff work tirelessly to prevent the second murder, but they eventually stumble across a frightened girl wearing holiday clothes at the scene. Travnickich knows there is more to this case other than the facts unfolding in front of them, forcing them to unravel a deep and dark web of crimes as they race towards the deadline.
