He desperately wants to keep their landmark on the sea fronts prosperity but has issues with the concept of selling it to developers who forever change its appearance and feel. But for him, the boarding house represents not only his past and his relationship with beautiful and remarkably talented puppeteer, Nikki; it's the spirit and essence of his life. That only fair that the family business be restored to its former glory in order to salvage the structure from bankruptcy. Though sensical, such a solution remains so far out of reach.
