"Dahar, el visitante del Espacio" is a novel by Spanish author Áureo Larra. Set in a near-future America ruled by a fascist dictatorship that has destroyed the environmental systems of Earth, the protagonist of the story is Dhar, an aristocratic space visitor who is sent to explore the terrestrial colonies of their world.
His journey takes him through a metropolis where technology has blurred the lines between humanity and machines. Corrupt police forces run rampant and power plays abound.
Despite his resistance, Dhar finds himself entangled in the corruption of planetary politics. He discovers a terrible secret about our world that threatens the survival of humanity as we know it.
But before he can do anything about it, a solar storm disrupts his travel and leaves him stranded on an uncharted space station where he comes face to face with a cult of alien monsters intent on enslaving human civilization.
As he fights for his freedom, Dhar realizes that the future will be shaped by his own actions in this desperate situation of limited resources, oppressive force, and hostility among different worlds within the galaxy.
