"Sturmgefluester" by Alexandra Walczyck is a novel that tells the story of Lewis Left Hand, a Lakota boy who grows up in New York, but whose mother Molly moved from the Rosebud Sioux Reservation in 1968 to avoid a hostile Indian policy initiated by the United States government. When Lewis comes out of his father died in a car accident, he finds out shocking secrets about his family and he starts to investigate the circumstances that led to the death of his father. He realizes that his people are different and because of the knowledge he got he and his friends are in danger life. Local authorities, FBI and a senator hide this thing because, the second Wounded Knee Occupation was imminent at this time. In the end, Lewis stands before the court and even the brief moment of incarceration can only come to nightmares.
