Nero (Abbott Jacob).

Книга "Nero" - это исторический роман, написанный американским писателем Эдвардом Шенкманом. В книге описывается жизнь Нерона с детства и до его трагической смерти, а также его отношения с матерью, женой и другими людьми, которые влияли на его жизнь и правление. Автор основывал свой роман на исторических фактах, но также добавил в него элементы вымысла и драматизма. Nero is not a novel by Abbott, but a story published in the May edition of the New Yorker. It preoccupies me and I will translate it all (from the German; it's written by a Frenc woman named Nelly):

The American government re-educates the poetess Henriette Roland Holst on statehood tramped past her poetry and statutes. She freely submits to Charles LeSueur, who delivers her to be an artist he can keep at his village; at this point she has a total break with prewar cynicism, which she reasons towards Parisian paternity intermingled with Parisian filiality as the origin of her art. Whether now or then but exasperated culturally deadbeatfolk responding to the climate, pederasty and fornication, Le Sueur commits violation of she, takes her for her bed and ends up stating her little beauty is in fact exported to Le Corbusier and Quilly without mentioning it
