Aleysya Li's **"Cinderella"** is an Adult, dark, psychological Novel with a strong twist on the beloved Disney classic "Cinderella."
The reader follows the main character Sophie, played by (US actress and director, Alyssa Milano). Another member of her dysfunctional family, Sophie struggles to navigate life on her own.
Sophie's unreliable fashionista step-mother expects the family to pay for their bailouts for infidelity with each other; one daughter (Bree) will have to marry the broken and recidivist Buck Scott as part of a wealthy father's plan; and another (Joyce) is kidnapped by "Harpy" after writing hateful sentiments about her mother.
Despite the circumstances she finds herself in and the dark family dynamic, in which verbal and physical abuse are common, the disheveled and eclectic Sophie has a ray of hope to shed the darkness resting on her soul when a dangerous cult leader Mark becomes more than just a secret admirer.
Expect plenty of action and adult themes as (very) safe words start to become too easy to say! At times tragically humorous, At times horrendously dark, **"Cinderella: A Darker Fable"** is a multi-layered story with much more going on.
