"White Fang" is a novel written by American author Jack London that follows the adventures of a white wolf named Fang as he sets out to survive in the harsh northern environment.

The book opens with Fang, a half-wild dog, surviving a terrible winter on a distant Siberian island. Alone and bereft of human companionship, he struggles to stay alive, living off what he can catch from the nearby fish, hunting caribou and bears, and keeping his spirits up by visiting the body of his late master, a Canadian trapper named John Thornton. At times, Fang nearly gives up on his task, but through sheer determination and fierce instincts he finds his way back to civilization.

Throughout the novel, Fang's journey intersects with those of other characters. He is an unreliable narrator, observing most of the book's events from a different perspective, his experiences often contradictory to his claims.

It was the masterful and incommunicable wisdom of eternity laughing at the futility of life and the effort of life. It was the Wild, the savage, frozen-hearted Northland Wild…"
