1. Abhorsen: Book One of the Forged in Fire Trilogy *Author: S.E. Hinton* A young girl discovers a lost sword and bubbles into a world taking the form of an old fashioned school where students rediscover ingenuity and fighting combat through books that are sparked to life. Guided by magic, this aspiring librarian (Steve) seeks love, friendship, and the sword's undiscovered power to free the nation from a perilous enchantment. 2. Around the Bend *Authors: Sid Fleming* Each page of the story is completed in alternate directions, nearly mirroring our lives which take distinct paths and yet share glimpses of each other with the backbend. To find closure, Sid travels to the source of his own fantasies, completing paths once begun before fading back into obscurity. 3. The Abbey of Dreams *Authored by Jacques de Norfolk* What was originally thought to be a mere history class project gets taken over by centuries old magical entities as someone who views them as symbols tries to switch out the course lecturer. Creatures both benevolent and vicious become ensnared by the politics behind it all leading to what seems like a nightmare for one person and a fabulous, ominous adventure for the rest of us, well the ones who aren't so easily swept away along the way. 4. Altered Fortunes *(Author: Pamela Sargent)* Narratives of beginnings and endings are mingled in the heart of a classic tale of love's devotion. Some want to write it right, some want to rewrite history, but only time will dictate how it is truly told and how the archived version we come to cherish will survive the test of time. Where the cry of nightsong may echo still even after the ages. 5. Alaryssën *Main Author: Yaani Couture* When you do good deeds, it's important to know whom you're helping. After helping a medieval monster complete his hero's journey consuming fifty vampires, Ana learns her own revenge may inadvertently destroy the world around her, leaving a broken hauntingly haunting orphaned karaoke in its wake. Life never ceases to flabbergast people unaware of apocalyptic consequences. 6. Arañita The Amazon Rainforest has grown and dwindled, changed as much as we have adapting to our societies and tempers. Some of the animals have thrived--or gone extinct--while some of the plants have emerged--New and Lost Timbers; Beasts of the Earth ... Tales of Threads and Claws Told Along the Trail. 7. Ashbringer Authors. Three tales interlinked. A guardians battle her fading memories to protect her key from her friend's will to use it strategically in her struggle to rule Paranor by evoking three powerful items of light: the moon and stars. Sin'dorei followed their fleeting earthly love and what happened when the darkness tore into Paranor's heart, amassing all Sin'dore who wished to carry the sins of Med'anic. 8. Beware the Jabberwock, my son! *Written by Andrew Lang* This tale brought to light concerns whether Humanity is ready to take on a shapeshifting being bent on world domination, or perhaps we should care less and stick to our rather predictable and ever-so-overdone self-importance. Either way, plots do not always work out for the intended heroes and heroines, cold calculating creatures or as they near smirk at injustice functioning in perfectly consistent ways within an ever adapting sphere. Even though they may look like Talking Wolves, while speaking with forked tongues. 9. Between the Covers: Scrapbooking Your Life Behold the tale of three friends using magazines as their canvas, each striking out with their real visions. Oh the wonders of self-expression within a simple world of glue, scissors, tape, and great imagination. Double click on the cover of a curled-up fox or a butterfly and the past, present, and future branches into surprises. And always great care must be taken in the gray area between pure white and pure black! 10. Black White For policemen (or author of Herman Melville's short story) digging for clues at complex murder cases, and detectives tasked with spotting truths in a sea of lies, knowing when your research reaches dirty waters is just part of the job. Pacing along such murky waters taking what might be found to a faraway shore requires serious facts to turn into reasons, verifiable ideas to move swim lanes and illusions to reflect ghastly identities, blurring the lines between reason and emotion, logic and long shadow.
