Uarda is a romance concerning the hero Sinuhe, a midwife in ancient Egypt, and his bride Nadia, a pupil of a doctor in Paris, who comes to Egypt in search of new medical knowledge.\nNadia not only learns the methods of her teachers but also adopts the customs and manners of episcopal life .\nOne day, Sidon, coachman of Nadia\'s, steals Sinuhe\'s beloved elephant Thutmose.\nSinuhe pursues the thief across the Nile and despite numerous dangers, corners him in a clearing on the quagmire.\nThe villain wants to shoot Sinuhe with his pistol but erroneously wounds his own horse.\nA running chase then breaks out with the people of Burmah as witness.\nThrough chance, Sinuhe collides with Nadia upon her way back to Sinuhe and the two fall in love.\nShortly after, however, Nadia discovers that her intended abductee has not committed the offense does to suspect.\nRather, he was set upon by the evil Geroe, whose love for Nadia was unathorized.\nImpelled by friendship as well as feelings, Sinuheturns against the wicked painter Sermo and makes peace with Nadia.\nAfter making the necessary arrangements, the lovers set forth on a journey in a barge down the river Nile to Ioppe, metallurgical center of Egypt .
