"Three Boys and a Baby" by Laura Marie Alton is a story that follows two children, Joey and Grace, who embark on an adventure with the troubled and soon-to-be-father Dillon. The mischievous trio soon stumble upon an abandoned baby in their local park who Joey and Dillon believe to be theirs. Up until then, however, Joey has been trying to sabotage his mother's efforts to have Dillon reunited with his alcoholic father.
The search party begins their frantic and exhausting search for Joey and Grace across town, which eventually leads them to meet and convince Dillon to sit on the fence while the marriage proceedings are underway. As the wedding approaches, they hear from a lady claiming to be Jackson Tate's former flame whose arrival poses havoc for them all. Their volatile time aboard turns into a challenge to "turn back the clocks" because Ella as a doctor wants both children to grow up in a family environment. In the end, our courageous "child duo" end up reuniting a formerly unstable Dillon with his son and assisting the misfortunate former first wife find her place in life. While Ella doubts marrying her pediatrician would lead to a more stable relationship, her hopes change once she realizes how important children truly are. This love triangle-cum-comedy drama teaches that kids can be just as messy as adults who lead them to unite in romantic endeavors.
