The second in the Doctor Dolittle series, it alternates between scenes in the rainforest where Jungle Patrolman Dill rescues Professor and Dr. Dolittle and Mini, Mini's talking parrot, from an alligator, an angry chimpanzee, a trio of jungle thugs, and their associates, before eventually leading them to the European mainland.\nAfter a plane crash, the group travels north to Southern England where they end up at the home of the book's namesake, Professor and Mrs.Adams, who will soon discover that their doctor is something more than that.\nThe story begins fifty years after the first novel, "Doctor Dolittle's Zoo".
