I was unable to put down SARA MORGAN's Ripped/Burned until I reached the last pages, and she did not disappoint.The Notting Hill world feels completely alive and possibility like no otherLaura "Haylee" Miller and Roselynn "Rosie" Ross have lead fairly satisfying lives, despite the drama they have faced because of their father Jonah. When it comes down to it though, they are the younger daughters without particularly desirable marriages. But now those situations could change.From the very nice to the ridiculously horrifying, this romance mixes its lighthearted comedy with unexpected sadness, so that the happy ending we're supposed to get doesn't quite hit as hard."Anger, fear, lust...and now love," Morgan writes, giving us a glimpse into each character's thinking before our eyes start to tear.Even when the heat turns to steam, there is depth to these emotions ; Morgan knows just how much pleasure and pain the couples experienceCharacters feel real Holden Miller, the protective protector; gun-toting mom Kaley Ross, the ferociously devoted; and the effervescently emotional Darrel Bemis, a possible new friend for Haylee.
