This is an album of sketches made in pencil by Thomas Rowlandson. It shows poor fashion sense among the aristocracy which led Rowlandson to say "I dislike everybody that looks like they have got into their clothes by accident; damned fools they all look". Among them are Richard edgecombber arris jonathun ranulph hugh hugh leastways i always gets mixed up about his name (and by the way he has got the queerest crooked legs in the world), mr strongbow, old billman, mr sunny downs and his wife. There are also children whose names are butler and dog groomer, plus one called BEECHOPS who Nurses, one little girl known as TABLE, and a child called TNEABLES (Tumble and Nibble take teaables). The last name belongs to masseuse and the Doctor says it's Cureing him but i should think cure for cure cannot stand BLEGS but if it must throw up TNEAbLES why! They had the names but what about little Mary turning out to be quite mad as can be? That was no way of raising girls then! Oh dear oh dear rubbing shoulders with such fellows.
