This book tells about a supernatural enviroment called the Shady pines hotel from the perspective of Scarlet and Ivys. This is the fourth book from MURDER most unladylike, by Sophie Cleverly. All of this book is divided in two parts.

First part the story starts with author, Jenny telling us the details of about the various cases related to the hotel, including people dying, while those mysteries keep on haunting Scarlet and Ivey. A few missing young ladies and an elderly boy at a restaurant by The green house of Mr Davenport's. Suddenly on the first morning after the return, three more young people have gone missing. At first Jenny was asked to investigate this because they look like a young couple. Like two identical twins known as Connie and Eliza who had gone with a group and not turned up. Also Mrs Kent who went to another hotel but could not be located. Then they all show up at the club where they were last seen. They discover that the missing girls were actually dead. Meanwhile, the famous guest, The mysterious double Bass would come back again.

But Jenny had came to shady pinestowned and on first sight she see's that all the places are familiar to her. but shadiest pines was not her home. She saw an eerie scene and she felt very uneasy about its.and she was nervous and if she had been in her own house she would feel secure since the murderer is not rookwood's relatives.
