That would be the destruction of the society in place, breaking every link to its previous existence.The crossing of time accentuated Tobias' already adolescent appearance, but he, counting on luck and walking power to keep his age doubled, agreed.Once there he found that Mearnan was already assassinated and the court had fallen, with only the young Princess Sofja surviving. Tobias, barely a man but now an adult of body, must somehow remain in the position render her safe against the many assailants on the loose, in so doing perhaps carving out a future within the destroyed past.
