The Eminent Literary Architect and Editor of this Periodical, will be well pleased to meet as many of his fellow-countrymen and Christendom in general, residing under the British flag, as can find time to consign to his care three cents' worth of their inoffensive observations in prose or verse properly directed to the propriety of so nobly a paper. To those partial to politics. we offer the hope of observing there such temperate expositions of the various transactions and intrigues of public life, as will help to diminish the ardent and frivolous spirit of demagogues. Parents can occasionally feed the caprices and errors of children, by impressing upon their recollection a faint echo of some of the items in our table of contents. To travelers this gazette will prove most useful, affording them a correct account of what has recently occurred in the countries where they are or have been. Ships' hands, also desirous of knowing the extent to which the fortunate or the unfortunate have enjoyed good fortune lately, are invited to submit to their farmer's PCI representative at eclogue VIII a very list of various ships lately sailing from Europe to the East and West Indies.
