"The Communist Manifesto"
Карл Маркс. Краткое описание книги. "The Communist Manifesto," also known as "Manifesto of the Communist Party", is a classic work and among the most famous examples of social science analysis in the field of political theory. It offers a comprehensive treatise on the conditions that generate communism, its functions, consequences, and criticisms from 19th-century thinkers including Lenin and Trotsky.

In this polemical treatise, Marx and Engels reveal Marx's revolutionary ideas and argument for communism. In a re-thinking of the philosophy of Adam Smith and Proudhon, with an incisive analysis of Hegel, Marx states that capitalism is fundamentally unstable, predicated upon constant revolution, and inherently inclined towards autocracy and oligarchy. According to Marx, society exists to reproduce itself, and economics must be subsumed into a larger system of societal relations.

The preamble is directly addressed to the elite socialist circles in Germany. Marx takes issue with common forms of moral and ethical apologetics of democracy, arguing that it is the responsibility of the classes in power to guide society into the future against arbitrary intervention and capricious transformations toward oppressive outcomes. As Marx sees it, present forms of governance fail to properly represent the whole of society as economic agents, leading to undue divergence in wealth and wealth distribution, creating grievances, civic dissent, and ultimately democratic disenfranchisement.

Marx then moves beyond socio-economic conditions by arguing that democracy is inherently opposed not only to capitalism but also to class consciousness, i.e., thinking critically and consequently about the systems that reproduce social inequality. Citing Enlightenment thinkers, Marx stresses the extent to which intellectual liberation is connected to civic discipline, opposing the social classes. Furthermore, Marx holds that to counter modern authoritarian solutions of reactionary technology and state formation, the people require a politico-cultural dynamic that focuses on a number of envisioning factors that have their origin in the dissatisfaction with existing injustices. Thus, he concludes that community in concert with a critique of existing power structures is central to advocating for positive change.
