Sheltered in His Arms - это книга о Сэме Монтфорде, который уехал из города Shelter Valley десять лет назад.

This story about Sam Montford was told to me by Laura. I am unable to read this book because the language is too difficult. But here is the summary given by Laura:

"Sam Montford fled the small town of Shelter Valley 10 years ago, leaving behind his wife Cassie to explore the world without her. While Sam was interested in the urban world, Cassie found life at home growing stifling and oppressive instead. She never found love in the outside world and decided to go back to her hometown to face her responsibilities alone.

When Sam returns unexpectedly 7 years later, he brings back his young son, whose father died in a tragic accident in a boating accident. Sam has no idea Cassie is due to give birth any time that month. Cassie had a miscarriage while Sam was traveling, but that is not why she struggles with him coming back. It is not as if Sam wasn't knowing about all of this through letters. Rather, it is about the different people they became when they were away from the other. Cassie did not flourish in her small hometown either; her heart longed for something more exciting. The unexpected return of Sam only deepens Cassie's longtime emotional wounds. And the last thing she need is Sam as a source of pain herself and their children.

The second person described to me the storyline about Sam, Megan said: ‘Sam is Cassie’s rebound guy. He went to Los Angeles and couldn’t find happiness there, so he returned to Shelter Valley to try to fix things with Cassie!’ I agreed that the storyline made sense from this point of view, though Sam does what he sees as a noble and selfless effort."

Tara Quinn's novel, Sheltered in his Arms, asks some interesting questions about marriage, family and friendship while drawing readers deep into a small Canadian town. We follow homecoming veteran Sam Montford and his gradual return to home town Shelter Valle y,twelve years after he hastily deserted his wife and child for an exciting wide world of study. Sam is welcomed less than warmly by those he once knew and hoped to return to, especially his estranged wife, as dear friend Dingus Phillips has predicted "everyone from old lady Smithers to dog Parker" willet their new arrival. Love, loss, goal and journey will be influenced and tested by the new possibilities and changes that occur once again Sam returns home to Shelter Va lley .
