He has authored several books, including Die Kämpferinnen der Baubehörden (2011) and Erziehung sozial verantwortet (2003), among others. A member of the Naturwissenschaftlicher Verein in Breslau, Benke frequently contributes to Dresdner Neueste Nachrichten and often speaks at conferences and in lectures about his area of expertise, history. He also hosted contributions for Radio Baden-Württemberg, the TV program for the local public broadcasting organisation, Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg.
Benke founded the Die Unverpackten GmbH which offers seminars and festivals which are presented across different cities. His speeches range from lifestyle advice to the essentials of diplomacy and geopolitics. He also publishes an opinion column in Dresdener Ausgabe der Welt, Germany's largest liberal German-language newspaper.
Schöpfungen – eine Sicht der Gerechlichkeit von Andreas Benke – is an essay written in four long sections.
