Oscar Wilde's sag is a short story about Sir Edward Havergal, a poet who writes songs and prose about the magic of roses. He declares that poetry and beauty come from the rose garden, and he likes to spend time in there meditating on his works. But then Lady Hinder does not like the idea of Sir Edward spending all day in her rose beds, and orders him to get out and work in the wood-shop with the other men. Sir Edward is very upset by this and spends most of his time there writing love poems. However, the women do not appreciate his work and think it's stupid; they have their own ideas of what is good poetry. Ultimately, Sir Edward loses interest in poetry altogether and decides to go back to his original passion of gardening.
