Книга “Reliability of Maintained Systems Subjected To Wear Failure Mechanisms” Франка Байле является исследованием надежности поддерживаемых систем, подверженных износу механизмов.
Книга “Reliability of Maintained Systems Subjected To Wear Failure Mechanisms” полезна для инженеров, разработчиков и менеджеров, работающих с системами, которые подвержены износу. Она предоставляет инструменты и методы для анализа надежности систем и принятия обоснованных решений по их обслуживанию и ремонту.
This book proposes an original approach for estimating the reliability of a mechanical system subjected to wear, based on model comparison and multiple-failure criteria. It is particularly relevant for civil engineering projects involving large maintenance contracts that cannot foresee all the uses that may be envisaged in advance. This assumption contradicts one of the major premises of traditional maintenance theory : all reserves provided at the outset should be exhausted during the first twenty years of operation of the structure. In other words, enhancements being built into the structure to remedy known deficiencies should also be able to deal with unknown and future problems. These assessments are based upon systems engineering knowledge and modelling concepts from the military domain, where combat vehicles, nuclear power plants and airplanes involve systems composed of fifty or more components. The book does not advocate universal hypothetical solutions as the model of reference, but rather looks today at structural Typologies, proving that better retention of these assemblies, characterised by popularly selecting or carefully comparing theories, as well as their adaptive validation from learning experimental results makes the scientific world a little more reliable. The end-user will be the cost, availability and maintainability of facilities and equipment in relation to their impacts on safety and durability. In general, adopting a systematic and iterative prediction methodology ranges from lexicon vocabulary, ridesharing distance, maintenance costs and the willingness and ability of end-users. Each chapter begins with a review of the theoretical and practical issues in its focus. A frame creates an appropriate framework through which the results will guide decision-making, especially existing concrete construction and retrofitting management decision systems. Thanks to its flexibility, the proposed methodology can be adjusted according to the products under study. Odds of user acceptability are high, especially because concepts such as prioritisation and ISDA mainly make sense to any engineer. In sum, this book offers the Engineering community a rare view point on how reliability assessment and combat engineering’s technology processes leading edge research and path-breaking development, thereby filling a current gap in literature.
