"Qaldirgoch va kuvik" is a collection of folklore tales. The tales are known all over the world, and have been translated into many languages, including Russian.
The hero of the "Wildcat and Dog" tale is Akkan – a kind-hearted and brave young man with a will of iron. His childhood friend, Ulugbek, enters society when he finds his tribe he had been looking for all his life. Atulbek's wisdom and loyalty impress the prideful Akkan. They become great friends, despite their different ways.
From that moment, the story begins, as Akkan finds his path and Achen finds Akkan's brother's house (a dog village) where local children are forced to work like slaves. When Akkan asks Qaldiroch whether he can help the poor and deprived children, he begins his adventure, which throws him into difficulty and even requires to involve an owl. Eventually, Akkan overcomes adversity and "defeats the wildcat", standing on his way to his desires and creating peace for everyone.
