The protagonist, Flash (nicknamed Michael Blasco), a single man, gets a realization one morning – he has the ability to control sexual attraction by willing. He sees a boy he liked in college and fantasizes about him admiring him as a model. Flash focuses those thoughts and at once the boy, fully clothed, miraculously asks Flash where he wants the party to be held and dances up his way to the highway exit, wild eyes coy with enthusiasm and half-open mouth asking for one more invitation.
Flash's imagination runs free. He wishes for a host of favorites – from songwriter and perversely good lover Billie Holiday to Olympic swimmer and robust lover Tony Lewis and miniature Timmy Blasko, played as a shy toddler in a motel bed with girly touches, a bisexual photo album shaken in Scrabble rage. No perverse wish seems to go awry – but then it begins to seem that perhaps there was a cost: first Sancho Panza’s avatar, then wild Jessie James, soon deflating and cashed in again. What is the will's ambition?
